Europe Regional Day 3
The 2011 Europe Regional did not disappoint with epic performances from some amazing CrossFit athletes. The past three days have produced world record times, personal records, and some great stories.
While Annie Thorisdottir’s winning streak was broken in Workout 5, she still pulled through with the best time for women in the chipper. Samantha Briggs proved that Brits are better at muscle ups in the rain. and in a surprising turn, Anders Galaly was booted out of the top three by Annie’s business partner Elvar Por Karlsson.
At the end of the three days, just three teams, three women (plus one pre-qualifiier), and three men will move forward to the 2011 Reebok CrossFit Games July 29-31 in Carson, Calif. at the Home Depot Center.

Europe Regional Day 2
Little has changed from Day 1 to Day 2 in the 2011 Europe Regional at the Reebok Stadium. Annie Thorisdottir continues to dominate each workout and holds the top spot for women, with Samantha Briggs in a close second, just a few points behind. Tuomas Vainio came back from behind to stay in the lead for the men in Europe.
A “fashion theme” seems to be developing in Europe as well. Athletes have been donning interesting socks to catch the eye of spectators and make the other competitors look twice. Andy Edwards, from Dragon CrossFit, seems to have set the pace with fluorescent striped numbers, which drew envious glances from Annie Thorisdottir – and they are somehow now it her possession. Other athletes have retaliated and the battle is on!
By the end of the day, teams and individuals were just trying to make the cut to Day 3. There were several athletes who did what they had to do to survive and hold onto their dreams of making it to the Home Depot Center, for at least another day.

Europe Regional Day 1
The 2011 Europe Regional has completed day one of competition at the Reebok Stadium in Bolton, Lancashire, U.K. In a thrilling competition, the women having impressive showings, while the men surprised the crowds with admirable performances.

André Reinders – mistr Evropy WFCA ! Gratulujeme !
André Reinders – rozhovor s čerstvým mistrem Evropy WFCA
(” Zápas na Grand Prix Chomutov jsem vyhrál! Získal jsem tak pás profesionálního mistra Evropy v MMA asociace WFCA do 85 kg. Šampióna své země holanďana Nathana Schouterena jsem porazil jasně na body. Zápas se mi bohužel nepodařilo ukončit před limitem, víc o zápasu v rozhovoru zde. Fotky ze zápasu můžete shlédnout zde, odkaz na video přidám hned jak bude k dispozici.”)
André Reinders se v sobotu stal mistrem Evropy WFCA v MMA. V zaplněné chomutovské sportovní hale porazil na body holandského soupeře Nathana Shuterena a zajistil tak, že pás zůstal na domácí půdě. Využili jsme šance po zápase Andrému položit pár otázek.
Dodatečně gratulujeme k titulu mistra Evropy WFCA, jak se cítíš po zápase, nějaké zranění?
Díky. Cítím se v pohodě, jsem rád, že koleno vydželo. Mám jen drobnosti, rozbitou ruku a rozkopnutý nárt. Ale to jsou běžný věci.
